“Through my clinical rotations, I have come to realize how medicalised childbirth is in the New York healthcare system, and I have found it very alarming and disconcerting…..
Although, I understand that interventions are warranted when medically necessary, I know that most interventions may cause more harm than good, and more importantly, they disrespect the natural process of birth and to me, that’s a potential safety breach in and of itself.
I really enjoyed reading the articles in your Empowering Birth Magazines. They provide a very refreshing and enlightening perspective on this topic and I plan to purchase more of them in the future.
