My baby turned 10 in 2015, she was born by a c-section in 2005.. Due to complications I had no choice but to go that path.. I had previously had 3 normal deliveries and enjoyed all my experiences.. Of course your first labour and delivery is always going to be something you can draw on for your next children.. So I had decided after my first born that I never wanted an epidural again.. And I didn’t except for my little girl.. Which of course again was out of my control..
I met my partner in 2007 and together we had 6 kids.. A blended family and really we blend together well.. Although I never expected that in 2015 I would find myself pregnant again.. I was so happy and convinced that I was having a little boy.. My partner took a little more convincing.. But in Febuary, 8 years after we first met, we had a beautiful baby boy, I had a VBAC. I deliveried with no dramas and absolutely no drugs.. I didn’t plan on not taking anything but by the time it got to the nitty gritty I had forgotten to ask for anything.
My partner was asked if he wanted to deliver our little boy and he did.. I’m convinced he should have been a midwife.. He missed his calling.. Beau is now 4 months old and is the most delightful, happiest little soul. I believe that my labour was so relaxed and lovely that I believe it truly helps your baby rest when they first arrive.. I don’t trying mothers should be stressed when it comes to labour. It’s the most glorious and exciting time and it hurts like hell and I won’t lie it’s exhausting.. But the elation you fell when your baby arrives is amazing.. There are not words that can truly describe that feeling..
