I had a copy of your book A Modern Woman’s Guide to a Natural Empowering Birth from when you came to Yin Health {Sunshine Coast book tour} to launch it but then shared it with my cousin (she had a scary first pregnancy and birth and definitely needed the support of your book leading up to her second) and since then it has done the rounds of my friends!
It’s currently in America with a friend who is aiming for a VBAC after her Caesarian left her disabled after her first! Several of our mutual friends are doulas and both are planning on ordering copies for Christmas!
It’s definitely a pre-birth, possibly even a pre-pregnancy resource. I recommend reading it as a preventative measure: use it to boost your faith in your body and trust your instincts. It should also be read as a post partum healing tool: read it to heal from a negative experience or to celebrate the birth you dreamed of.”
My second birth was sooooo different because I had the confidence to choose my own path AND had the resources to know what my options were. It was an even harder pregnancy than my first but because of your book, even when we were thinking my only option (at the time) was my least preferred option, I was still able to feel confident about the whole experience.
