Being an expectant mother with my first baby due to be born in the beginning of March 2013, I was asked if I’d like to review the book,”A Modern Women’s Guide to A Natural Empowering Birth” written by Katrina Zaslavsky.
I found the book to be one of sisterhood which was encouraging and also inspirational all at the same time.
I say sisterhood in that reading the book is like sitting down with a group of close female family members and girlfriends who have become mother’s before me and are happily chatting and speaking intimately of their own natural empowering birth stories.
The book is well written and has lots of insightful pockets of wisdom, tips and snippets from the author, mother’s sharing their own personal birth stories and also people in the medical profession and natural therapies e.g. Dr’s, midwifes, home birth midwives, naturopaths etc.
I have yet to decide if I will have a natural drug free birth when the time comes to give birth to my first child but in reading this book it has given me the tools and concepts which I will take on board with me and also lots to think about!
I very much enjoyed reading this book!
Thank You Katrina for writing a book such as this!
Yours Faithfully,
