“One of the biggest parts of my job prenatally is educating women about birth expectations and even releasing some of those expectations so we spend a lot of time reading – I give them a lot of resources. It can be a little overwhelming to have too many resources so I like to have 4 or 5 good reads….and I think this is a really great book { A Modern Woman’s Guide to a Natural Empowering Birth} and its a flicky book so it’s something you can keep on your bedside table and read at one in the morning when you can’t sleep or in the afternoon before you have a nap.
You are always going to walk away with something, whether it’s a quote that resonates or a personal birth story – those are the things that really impact over a long period of time. It’s not necessarily knowing about how an epidural is going to affect your baby, although that is important too~ it’s really important to know you are capable of doing this because so many women have done this before…..so I highly recommend this book!”
