“Finally a magazine worth reading! I’m a big “education” person so I love reading about new studies etc. that come out. I did love the recent section talking about “love hormones” so oxytocin etc. I can’t remember specifics but I directed a pregnant friend of mine to that article.
{The difference} It’s about birth! Lol. And not the “fear mongering” birth junk you see in parenting magazines here in Canada. My hubby always jokes that I cannot read/see anything pertaining to birth without getting annoyed by the inaccuracies and negative tone. This magazine is natural minded and empowering. It frames birth as an experience, not something women are forced to endure…but something we’re blessed to do!
I swear every time I read it my uterus aches hahaha. My second LO is only 6 months old, but her birth was amazing. Everything I could have hoped for. And when I read the magazine it reminds me how special it is to experience birth and I get excited to get to do it again. Makes me feel hopeful for the next generation of women…societies view of birth is changing for the better. A publication like this existing is proof of that. Makes me feel happy for my own daughter, I hope she never has to overcome the hurdles I did to have the birth she deserves.
