We declined all Drs interventions. My Dr was away – of course always my luck! This covering dr just wanted to intervene in any way he could but we were strong in saying no and had an amazing birth with an amazingly healthy strong bub and mum.
Bub fed perfectly from birth and only lost 70g before discharge yesterday. Milk already in. Delayed cord cutting until pulsing stopped and had every nurse comment on what great color she is. No jaundice. One clever happy healthy little girl I have! I’m still on a high from my birth .
I feel like shouting from the mountain too for all woman to embrace their girl power and birth their beautiful healthy strong happy bubs.
Thank you Katrina for your book, it gave me empowerment and knowledge to have the birth I wanted 2nd time round. Plus thank you for posting the opportunity to have Marie as our doula the other day- what timing!
