Top 3 Fertility Self Care Tips

What does fertile fit mean to you? Is it just one magical formula or gym program that you do and viola – new life is conceived? If it was that easy you wouldn’t be searching the net for answers; storing products and services in your favourites only to decipher and decide what will work this time around. The truth is, no one, not even assisted therapies can guarantee you a child. What makes the difference is the empowerment, the drive, the action you take to make the changes at the deepest level as you lovingly prepare for your child. To empower yourself long enough that the changes you make are sustainable ones in improving your health not only for conception and pregnancy but throughout your lifetime.

Today I’ll be sharing the top 3 lifestyle factors that improve your overall health and well being. By boosting the quality of your health your reproductive health will also benefit. These are the tips that give the results in some way shape or form with everyone I work with

TIP 1 – Self care and self love

Its simple, a baby required care, love, shelter, nutrition and safety. How do you rate against these basic human needs? Be honest with yourself. Do you practice self love and self care? When we care deeply for ourselves, we naturally begin to care for others-our families, our friends our community and the environment.
Knowing how to connect with your body during your cycle is a wonderful start to tune into your whole being. There is ancient wisdom available to us today that we can tap into. These practices get passed on from generation to generation, across cultures and all too often we shy away from them.

One technique is acupressure. Knowing when in your cycle is the best time to stimulate the points on your body to bring energy and blood flow to your reproductive area. This may be the missing link that resides in the healing of your fingers. There are massage points in your ears, your abdomen and back to stimulate in both females and males. Being responsible for connecting with the deeper parts of yourself is an effective way of loving your body. A guide for couples titled “Acupressure Twin Pack” can be accessed for both couples and is an excellent instruction on receiving the benefits of Acupuncture without the needles.

Another technique is your mindset and visualisation. Part of your mind can be trained like a muscle. With the right guidance you can start to feel differently and this will change the frequency of your body.
Let me elaborate – if you are unfamiliar with the microscopic view of what takes place during fertilization I highly recommend both you and your partner watching this video. When you see what your bodies are capable of doing to have hundreds and thousands of sperm race to encounter potential new life you will have a fine appreciation of the miracles of your bodies.

It is from this point you can look at your external environment and the choices you make for yourself in how your internal environment can be optimised.
Being treated for fertility problems can be a part time job and leave you feeling out of control within your body…isn’t it more empowering to use your life making healthy choices to aid you in attaining and maintaining optimum health?

TIP 2 – MOVE YOUR BODY!!

Move and Be Active: Find an activity you enjoy doing – and DO IT! Something
that you want to jump out of bed for in the morning and have FUN doing it.
Men you need good levels of testosterone in your bodies. So performing resistance based training (body weight or with weights is very beneficial. Include squats, deadlifts and muscle endurance to get your testosterone and feel good endorphin’s up. It also helps to eat bananas and figs – packed with goodness!
And beautiful women, did you know that ovarian function can be regulated by losing as little as 4% body fat? (that is aslong as you are not underweight – having too little body fat can be a cause of infertility too. These results are scientifically proven and demonstrated in fertility clinics all over the world for women with Poly Cystic Ovaries. The results I have with women attribute to this fact too – in 100% of cases where women are on assisted therapies their pathology results demonstrate an improvement in one or more reproductive health tests.

TIP 3 – NOURISH YOUR BODY

Start practising now on nourishing sustainable whole foods…most couples that get pregnant by surprise are left having to do a major inventory and clean up exercise on their nutrition, alcohol cigarettes and quality of food they have been consuming. Don’t wait for the “Oh Oh” moment…”What do I need to do to clean up my act so I can be a good example to my growing family…”
When you plan to conceive you have the opportunity to integrate sustainable changes in your nutrition. And from there you learn how to eat for preconception, pregnancy post birth and beyond. You learn how to nourish yourself, your baby your family through every stage of development.

So take your nutrition seriously…every time you eat you have the opportunity to make a difference to your health and by educating yourself you can educate your growing family
